I have seen a lot of you were searching for how to delete an address on Amazon so I have decided to write an article on it. Nowadays, sending presents to loved ones using e-commerce buying applications is rather usual. However, if you’ve made it a habit of sending presents via Amazon, you’re likely to have a big list of addresses on your account.
You’ve come to the perfect spot if that’s the case, or if you’re just relocating to a new location and want to erase previous addresses from your Amazon account. Here you’ll discover instructions for deleting addresses from Amazon’s website or mobile app.
How to Delete an Address on Amazon
Step By Step Guidance:
- Log in to your Amazon account and click the Account & lists button in the top bar of the website, then choose Your Account from the drop-down menu.
- Choose Your Addresses in the following window.
- You’ll now be able to see all of the Amazon addresses where you’ve previously sent any goods. Select the address you want to delete and then click the Remove option beneath it. The address will be immediately removed from your account.
- If the specified address is the primary one, a prompt stating “Removal failed” will appear (shown below). Click on the Blue text written following the error text in this case.
- This will take you to a screen where you may choose or type in a new main address. After you’ve added a new address, click Update.
- You may specify an existing address as your primary address by tapping on the selection bar at the top of the form and selecting it from the drop-down list.
- Finally, the window will return you to the Your Addresses list when you press the update button. When you click the Remove button again, a confirmation dialogue box will display.
- To permanently erase the Address, choose yes.
How can you remove addresses from the Amazon app?
- What to Know:
- Press three horizontal line button > select your account option > choose your addresses option > remove address > choose main address > click update > again press remove button > tap yes
If you already have an Amazon app loaded on your phone, you may accomplish the same thing from within the app. To get started, simply open the Amazon app and log in to your account.
Step By Step Guidance:
- At the upper left corner of the screen, press the three horizontal line button. (On certain phones, this button is also located in the bottom right corner of the screen.)
- Then select the Your Account option.
- On the following screen, under the Account Settings menu, select the Your Addresses option.
- You’ll see a list of all of your saved Personal Addresses.
- Remove the one you wish to get rid of from the equation.
- If it doesn’t go away right away, remove it. Because it’s a primary address, click the Blue text following the error message, as seen in the picture above.
- This will take you to a screen where you may choose or type in a new main address. After you’ve added a new address, click Update.
- Alternatively, touch on the selection bar at the top of the form to make any existing address primary.
- Finally, when you’ve pressed the update button, the window will return you to the Your Addresses list if you press the button. When you click the Remove button again, a pop-up window will display, requesting confirmation. To permanently erase the Address, choose yes.
