hatsApp is said to be working on a revamped Contact Info page UI. When browsing the in-app business directory, the instant messaging app is also claimed to be working on a feature that would allow users to filter neighboring companies. However, not all users have access to the directory yet. WhatsApp is also rumored to be working on a feature that would allow group admins to attach their groups to a community on iOS. It had already appeared on the Android version of WhatsApp.
According to WABetaInfo, a WhatsApp beta tracker, WhatsApp is working on a revamped Contact Info page for both Android and iOS users. It’s claimed to be identical to the app’s redesigned Business Info page, which was discovered in a test version in August.
To provide a unique experience, the revamped Contact Info page looks to have a dedicated search shortcut in place. It is going to happen. WABetaInfo has posted an iOS image of the revised Contact Info page, which will be available to beta testers soon. According to the screenshot, the new interface will seem identical to the iPhone’s default contact cards.
Separately, according to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a filtering tool that would display when looking for local companies. It would allow you to narrow down your search results to eateries, grocery shops, and clothes stores.
WABetaInfo has also discovered that group admins on iOS will be able to attach their groups to a community. The upgrade was advised by WhatsApp for iOS beta version 2.22.1.1. WhatsApp beta version 2.21.25.17 gave a similar feature to Android users earlier this month: the ability to link groups to a community. It has not yet been made available to beta testers.
